Après une carrière équestre, Christina von Mohrenschildt a su changer de vie et parfaitement négocier sa reconversion professionnelle.
Encouragée et épaulée par Jean-Emmanuel Riard, son aventure de marqueteur commence, à leur arrivée en Corrèze en 1995, dans le village de Branceilles.
Autodidacte, Christina exerce son art avec une grande liberté. Elle applique le procédé qui convient à son instinct, suivant les caractéristiques mécaniques et picturales de la matière. Elle façonne ses pièces pour les assembler avec la plus grande rigueur dans ses compositions.
Volontaire et appliquée, à force de travail et de persévérance, elle réussit, en 2004, à se hisser au plus haut niveau de cette discipline, en obtenant le titre de « Meilleur Ouvrier de France » (M.O.F.). Cette distinction prestigieuse atteste de la qualité de sa formation d’autodidacte et de la perfection de son travail.
C’est en 2012 qu’elle reçoit le titre de « Maitre Artisan en métier d’Art » à la chambre des métiers de la Corrèze.
Nach einer Laufbahn als Reiterin hat es Christina von Mohrenschildt verstanden, ihrem Leben eine Wendung zu geben und sich beruflich neu zu orientieren.
Angeregt und unterstützt durch Jean-Emmanuel, beginnt sie ihr Abenteuer als Intarsienarbeiterin im Jahr 1995 nach ihrer beider Ankunft im Departement Corrèze im Dorf Branceilles.
Als Autodidaktin übt Christina ihre Kunst völlig ungebunden und frei aus.
Bei der Auswahl der Techniken folgt sie ihrem Instinkt unter Beachtung der mechanischen Eigenheiten und des malerischen Ausdrucks des Werkstoffs. Mit größter Strenge stellt sie die Einzelteile her und fügt sie zu ihren Kompositionen zusammen.
Eigenwillig und strebsam, durch viel Arbeit und Beharrlichkeit, gelingt es ihr 2004, das höchste Niveau in dieser Disziplin zu erreichen: Ihr wird der Titel « Meilleur Ouvrier de France » (M.O.F.), zu deutsch « Bester Handwerker Frankreichs », verliehen. Diese renommierte Auszeichnung bestätigt die hohe Qualität ihrer autodidaktischen Ausbildung und die Perfektion ihrer Arbeit.
2012 verleiht ihr die Handwerkskammer der Corrèze den Titel « Maître Artisan en Métier d'Art » (Kunsthandwerksmeister).
After an equestrian career Christina von Mohrenschildt changed her lifestyle and transferred to a new profession.
When they arrived in Corrèze in 1995, in the village of Branceilles, encouraged and supported by Jean-Emmanuel, her adventure as a marquetry artist began.
Christina is self-taught and exercises her art with great freedom. She uses a process that suits her instinct, following the mechanical and pictural characteristics of the subject-matter. She fashions her pieces so as to assemble them with the greatest possible rigour in her compositions.
Determined and concentrated, through hard work and perseverance she succeeded by 2004 in reaching the highest level of the discipline, gaining the award of Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France). This prestigious distinction is proof of the quality of her self-directed training and the perfection of her work.
In 2012 she was awarded the title of Maitre Artisan en métier d’Art (Master of Arts and Crafts) by the Corrèze Chamber of Trade.
